All parents dream of watching their baby grow up. But across sub-Saharan Africa, over 1.1 million newborns die each year—often from preventable causes like prematurity, infection, low birth weight, and lack of access to timely care.
The Seth Tiberius Foundation funds and implements:
He was born full term, healthy, and everything seemed fine. But at just 3 days old, he was diagnosed with NEC. By 10 days, he underwent emergency surgery. Unfortunately, at 9 months, he was gone.
In the midst of our grief, one thing became painfully clear: too many families face the same heartbreak—without access to specialized care, trained doctors, or support to carry them through.
In January 2025, we founded The Seth Tiberius Foundation so no parent would ever have to walk this road alone. So that babies born too soon or too fragile would still have a fighting chance.
Today, Seth’s name carries a purpose bigger than us: healing, dignity, and hope for children battling critical illness—and the families who love them.
In Uganda,
This is where we chose to begin—because Uganda is home, and because we’ve lived this heartbreak firsthand.
But our vision doesn’t end here.
We believe every baby—no matter where they are born—deserves access to care, dignity, and a fighting chance at life. Our hope is that the work we do in Uganda will ripple outward, bringing healing and hope to other underserved communities around the world.
We’re working in partnership with Nsambya Hospital in Uganda to expand and equip its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This project will help increase capacity for newborns in critical condition and provide lifesaving care for babies who otherwise wouldn’t survive. We look forward to sharing more as the project progresses—and invite you to be part of this life-saving mission.
Children with terminal illnesses deserve more than a diagnosis. They deserve access, relief, and time.
